Comcast in Elkridge, Maryland - Multiple unexplained increases to my bill

I've had at least 100 negative experiences with Comcast (compared to zero with Verizon phone service), so it's easy to exceed 100 words. My recent gripes: - NBA league pass expired at end of the NBA season so Comcast deemed this a "removal of service" and decided that it would be a good time to audit my bill. They added $25 of charges - one month later, I received a standard annual bill increase in the amount of $34. So, over three months, without change in service, bill increased by $60. This is in addition to a $30 increase I received a year ago. So, in the last 13 months, my bill has increased by $90. Comcast is by far the most shady company I've ever had to deal with, personally or professionally. This is well-documented, of course.

are you sure your contract hasn't expired? while in contract and out of contract the pricing is different.

Comcast told me they would charge me 39.99 for basic Tv and internet, and "free HBO" For 3 months. I get the bill and it is 64.55. So I only send them 39.99 since that is what they promised. Next bill is 108.55. They charged me a bunch of late fee's and a bunch of nonsensical fees. I called to complain and all the lady does is reconfirm I owe 108.55 and refuses to drop any charges follows some *** script and doesn't bother to try and retain me once I said I wanted to cancel services. They straight up do NOT care about their customers and will fine any way they can to gauge you. Service was constantly slow and intermittent to boot.

39.99 is the flat price which in most cases don't include the taxes that come with the service. The other fees that they charge you are Modem Rental ( this ranges from anywhere from 5 to 10 dollars a month ), plus state and federal taxes which can range from 10 to 20 dollars a month on top of the service.

So seeing a 64.55 bill is not out of the ordinary. If you fail to make a payment on time with the full amount they will change you a additional 8-20 dollars as a late fee per billing session.

Comcast - Equipment Review from Bessemer City, North Carolina

I have been a devoted Comcast customer for the better part of 25 years! I've always said the product is top-notch, but they treat you like carp! Last month I moved into a home that already had service established, so it was time for me to cancel mine. On May 6th, we drove the 10 miles to the nearest Comcast Center - we turned in our equipment and ask the young customer service rep to arrange to cancel my service effective that date. ATTENTION ALL USERS: When you turn in your equipment, SAVE THE RECEIPT! Because, when they sent my final bill (and yes, they got the info to cancel svc), they billed me $170 for "unreturned equipment"!!! As it turned out, they claimed they had no record of my returned equipment and left it solely up to me to prove otherwise - I had to produce the receipt or else. (Lucky for me I finally ran it down). Now, I'm not going to lay this on Customer Service - they were polite, patient, and tried to be helpful with what they had to work with. THIS GETS DUMPED SQUARE IN THE LAP OF MANAGEMENT!!! Doesn't sound awfully convenient - a customer turns their equipment in - Comcast staff fail to document and track it (something you'd think they could do in their sleep), THEY mess up and then have the nerve to tell the customer to "prove it"!!! What? NO responsibility, NO accountability, and (apparently) NO change! Makes me wonder just how often this occurs... Was it an accident or a practice?!

Comcast xfinity the absolute worst - switching RIGHT AWAY

For the 6th time in just 2 weeks, comcast internet has been down at the worst time. I have lost deadlines because of this ***, Comcast needs to get it together - and $5 refunds for our "inconvenience"??? They've got to be joking. Comcast has the worst possible service. I want to make it my mission to get their customers down, their service is more than disappointing. First they had servers down twice in one week last week - even after that, I have had a thousand internet issues since the past 2 weeks in my area - San francisco bay area. Instead of fixing the issue, their internet speed and servers are only getting worse and slower and shittier. I can't explain how frustrated I am, and their customer service is absolute *** - they don't even pick up their *** phone, they make you go through a billion automated options, only to reach the end when they HANG UP ON YOU. That happened to me 5 times trying to reach a customer service agent at 3 different comcast locations.

Comcast in Spokane, Washington - UPSET ABOUT THE BILL

I WAS TOLDED TO PICKUP MY NEW DVR AT THE STORE WHICH I DID. INSTALLED IT AND IT DIDN'T WORK CALLED COMCAST PEOPLE TO WALK ME THOUGHT INSTALLING IT. BUT THE BOX DIDN'T SO I WAS TOLDED TO TAKE IT BACK AND GET ANOTHER NEW ONE, WHICH MY HUSBAND IT. HOOK IT UP AND IT DIDN'T WORK EITHER SO THE OFFICE SET UP A INSTALLER TO COM OUT TWO LATER TO SEE WHAT IS WRONG. I WAS TOLDED THERE WOULDN'T BE A CHARGED. NOW I AND TOLDED I WILL BE CHARGED FOR THIS. I HAVE BEEN A LONG TIME CUSTOMER WITH COMCAST. AND NOW THEY COULD CARE LESS ABOUT MY LOYALLY. I BUNDLE ALL MY TV TELEPHONE AND COMPUTER.

I have never experienced such horrible curomer service. They false advertise and the hidden fees for installation are enormous! A 39.95 istallation is actuslly 79.95. The 39.95 is jyst for a tech to walk in your home. Do they tell you this?? No. When you call, they talk down to you. It doesnt matter if you are nice, they are not.

1. When calling, you are on hold for 30 to 1 hr waiting, then transferred, and disconnected. Only to have to call back numerous times to solve it. Then notes are never entered properly so no one honors anything that was said from a previous rep. 2. The bill is way to high and the company raises prices because they can and they are the only provider around. They charge ridiculous fees as well. 3. It is impossible to work out arrangements with them if needed because the account is never noted properly so they say. So you have to argue to get any kind of assistance and is way to stressful. They are refusing to work with me and I am trying.

Internet went out and it even confirmed on their site that there was an outage in my area. Well a day later and still no internet so i called Comcast up and basically told me up front my modem is dying. I didn't believe the guy but he insisted that he have a technician come out to look at the modem. He didn't offer to check the cable lines or anything on Comcast's end to ensure i was getting a good enough signal. At this point i was already upset so i hung up. Mysteriously the internet came back on again 5-6 hours after i had called, about 4 hours after i wrote on comcast's forum telling them their customer service is terrible. It irritates me to no end how Comcast comes off and says i need a new modem because the one i have does not work good enough. It works fine. Besides having that internet glitch, this company is greedy and most likely was going to force me to use one of their modems raising the price of my service! Annoyed by this service and i hope Google Fiber will be available soon, getting tired of Comcast and i definitely recommend Dish, Direct TV or if you have anything better in your area avoid Comcast if you can. Comcast is not a recommended service, customer service is a joke and i wouldn't trust them at their word saying when something needs replacing when it's their business practice that needs fixing.

Comcast is still horrid, can't wait long enough for google fiber. Telling customers to upgrade to a new modem, either by buying one or renting one is ridiculous.
