Comcast Is Actually Somehow Worse Than Our Old Company!

Let me start off this way, when the commercials say that Comcast's internet is fast and reliable, don't believe it as it is neither. We moved here in 2012 after my dad retired from the military, and we used to have a really bad company back in another state, so we thought it couldn't get worse. My internet gets ping spikes all the time which cause my games to lag, despite them constantly saying how it won't do that during peak hours (Which are apparently 1 p.m., 4 p.m., and 8 p.m., since my internet's *** during those times) But now it is intolerably bad. We have the phone and internet with them (We unbundled and switched our TV to DirecTV because we'd rather have a wonky signal when it's storming than have one literally all the time) and our phone flat out hasn't worked for like two weeks. 2 out of 3 of us have Cell Phones so it hasn't completely messed us up, because mine still works with WiFi and Facebook Messenger. ABOUT THAT...our Wifi has been bad for almost a week now. I have friends who do this sort of thing as a hobby and I've had them come fix it multiple times already, every time because it just stopped allowing devices to use the router. The first time we spent a good 3 hours just trying to get it to let mom's iPad on the network. Now it refuses to let my devices on. We have a good few of them, but we DO pay a lot to get the network that "Supports a lot of devices" It lets four devices connect. This family computer, the other family computer that's so slow we barely use it anyway, my mom's iPad, and something just called "Computer" when I check which devices the router lets on (Thanks, router, that's useful info...) What it doesn't connect anymore is a longer list of things we use a lot. My laptop (The best computer in the house at the moment, which I use for gaming and Skype calling my sister who moved across the country, and I can't do these now) My phone (Which doesn't have a plan on it cause I'm unemployed, and I used it for social media, which I can't do) My TV, which has Netflix and Youtube built in, which I used whenever there was nothing on (Which is a lot) The PS3 which also has Netflix but in a different room My friends all tell me they can't fix it this time and we need to ask for a new router, but the problem is not only is the account only accessible by my dad, who despite me and my mom begging, doesn't wanna call and "Deal with it", but we're also afraid to ask more because we had such a terrible company where we used to live as well, and with them when we asked for a router replacement, they always gave us the same old *** one that was refurbished after someone else got tired of it not working, and I just know it will happen again, especially after seeing how much it happens to other people. So here we are, paying for something that barely works, and apparently this piece of **** router has a "rental fee" I wish I could convince my parents to buy a better router, if Comcast even LETS us :T

Wow, that's impressive. They even let 12 year olds comment for whining. Get a "New" modem from Comcast.

Comcast cable uninstall

In about I will be else where I do not want cable to follow me around and pay for service when I am no longer in this area. Thus bill will be paid in full and and service will no longer be needed by me in my name. Some one else can enter their own name and pay for such service. I am through with cable for now until I feel such time time to return and only if I return!! Service it's not what I expected it should be if cable is running through the place and the door is closed anyone can hacked into cable by taking not one , but both cables to see anyone's email and others. Now my time is short as well as service. I need the bill up to 29 August 2015 then off and my name taken off the bill to include all service!!!!

You know..... I like the internet service. However, Comcast billing has got to be thevworst on the Planet Earth. Was having trouble for months wit unreliable internet service. The falt was theboutsidevwiring up on the pole. Comcast billec me for a service call yet never entered my house. And, you know the service was still not working. Took me two months of complaining. They finally took off the charge and offered $10 discount for six months. Now I find the reduced my bill by $10 and dropped my high speed service to half the speed on a new plan I never authorized and also decided to charge a $10 per month fee for a modem rental; yet I own my own modem and do not use theirs. Comcast you suck. When will you learn that makeing money is accomplished by providing service to the customer, not by extorting them. Nice how the accounting department calls you a lier as well. I think the problem is that these reps get commission for new service so weather you want it or not you are going to be suprised. Then the next rep takes the ball and does it again. I think the service guys get paid more if they come in your home so guess what you pay again. Call and complain and another rep gets another comission and when you call you are a *** lier as the say. I strongly feel that Comcast has surpassed ATT (death star) as the worst customer support EVER. Oh, don't worry they won't answer their phone. I think that I am going to file in small claims court. Since they are stealing from me an creating false charges then calling me a lier. Hey, they can start sending out lawyers to court - bet they don't and then they loose. I feel a judge will make a better listener then their high and mighty billing department. Who wants to start a class action against Comcast for stealing by modifying customer bills to increase profit. Lets do it! Denny Downing

I received my new bill yesterday;an increase of $33.In '81 I was paying less for rent then I now pay for Comcast.Something is,terribly,wrong here.It is price gouging by a monopoly,plain and simple.When I lived in Salt lake there were at,least two,cable companies; in Albuquerque I had three to choose from.Comcast is robbing the public blind,and getting away with it because they are the only game in town.I suppose for those that make six figures a year this is a non-issue,but for those of us who are elderly and trying to survive on the meager pittance we receive from Social Security it is a very real burden.It is criminal what Comcast is doing;something must be done.When one is a prisoner (as many senior citizens are) in their own own home,cable,phone,and internet cease to be a "luxury;" they are an essential part of daily life.

Ripped Off by Comcast- Again

I am not sure if Comcast is inept, dishonest, if they steal from customers, or all of the aforementioned? To begin, it is impossible to speak to one person. You get transferred from one person to another requiring you to start from your name & address each time. 1) They slow down their internet. I was sold their "blast" internet service (100Mb). It was so slow I couldn't stream video. Now that I have performance (25Mb) I can stream. huh? 2) By their own admission, they screwed up my modem so they "gave" me their equipment to use at no cost. I have the email documentation! But now I am being charged. Each person blames the previous person for making a mistake, but I am the one paying for all of their mistakes. 3) This month, I transferred my service when I moved. I was given a promotional price with the same cable service and a slower internet speed. Why not, Blast was horrible. I do not get the same channels so I called only to be told my cable service was downgraded. Why? I requested the same cable plan. So, they downgraded me on their own but NOW I can go back to my previous plan but I will have to pay TWICE what I am paying now. Gee, thanks but NO THANKS. Come on, this is just horribly dishonest - ripping off your customers. Why do I keep this service? There is no other internet/cable service provider. I hate this company.

This is the worlds *** service. Called the 1-800 number and waited fourty minutes with still no response. Box will not order ppv events. *** service bar none!

That's because you don't know how to pay your bills on time. If you weren't past due you wouldn't have wasted more time posting this complaint which I do have to say, makes you look like a ***.

If you're past due, they're not going to let you keep raking up a huge bill to avoid again once that PPV shows up on your bill.

You'd probably call in to dispute the charge anyway. Lol

Comcast - Diables Service whenever they feel like it, Billing, Customer Service

At least twice a month, Comcast turns off our cable, internet, phone without notice for what they call maintenance updates, no notifications of this, sometimes service will be off for hrs. Then we have been charged for equipment & pay per view shows We Did Order or Do Not Have! Bills go up every month, Never the Same Never. They have taken our payments and held them for 3-4 days before posting and then bill us a Late Charge for receiving payment on time! Customer Service at Comcast is a JOKE, they are the worst, Fact is, There is NO CUSTOMER SERVICE, no one knows what they are doing, one rep tells you one thing, someone else tells you something different - nothing ever gets resolved. A rep told me today, well its a unplanned maintenance, we turned everyone off to make your Service Better, its to your benefit, We don't have to notify anyone, We have to do this when our workers come into work, you can however check the progress on our website, HUM Hello We don't have Internet how can I check, then rep states, I will have tech call you when service comes back on, Really, Like I wont know when service is back on! These people are unbelievable, no brains, rude & don't care.

Comcast - Terrible customer service

Terrible customer service - I just called to fix the incorrect bill. 18 minutes wait time to reach a customer care personal. Then talked for 25 minutes to 2 persons both of them totally unhelpful. First person seemingly a new recruit doesn't even know what needs to be done so asked me to go to the their service center. Second person very rude & started giving incorrect information and refused to help. This is not the first time I am seeing this behavior from comcast, sometime back also I had similar experience. Comcast customer service really suck. Comcast customer service really suck. Comcast customer service really suck.

I spoke to 5 different people trying to set up internet and each person told me something different. I was told it would be this price from one person and then it was $40 more from the next person. I also was put on hold for an hour and then they never picked up so I ended up hanging up. Overall terrible experience. I will never go back. Internet is slow and gets bogged down easy. NOT WORTH THE HEADACHE. Just signed up for ATT U-Verse and am much happier. I would not recommend this internet provider to my worst enemy.

My wife and I are having a hard time understanding the Comcast bill and how it has kept going up although we have the triple play package. Some months we get this extra charge for our phone that we barely use. I understand doc we were making phone calls but we barely use the phone at all.

First off, from the very start of getting my service installed the installer told me I probably wouldn't get my internet AND cable to work at the same time. He told me this after going through 3 modems and 4 cable boxes. He as well as a few agents have told me to just keep both because it's cheaper with the discount even if the services don't work. That and the fact that my first bill was due on the 29th of the first service month and now every bill after is due on the 18th and no one can give me a compelling reason as to why. They told me to fix it I need to go to a center because they can't do it on their end until its a last resort. When i tried to complain on their site they logged me off. Funny how that works. I am eager to look for a new service since these people are the ONLY ones i know of to give you a year of a "discounted bundle" and then jack the rates up 3x. Again...SO eager to find a different service in a year.

Had no usable internet service for over 3 weeks (1/4 meg up and down, yeah 1/4 meg). Of course since the modem could contact home it showed up for 3 weeks even tho it was not usable. Called 800 number to get non-english speaking reps that were totally clueless and could barely manage to set up tech appointments 2 days out (always 2 days out) ended up having a tech show up he said it was a main line problem on the main highways and "reported it" got another tech that said the same thing and "reported it". Total of 5 home techs and 2 line maintenance techs. My house was totally rewired (to the highway) twice and equipment replaced 3 times. The last tech actually showed me a service map on his tablet that showed everyone about 50 subscribers that were on the same node as me were having the same problem. Finally went to the local office and showed my ***, the nice lady emailed someone and it was fixed within an hour that same day (3 weeks later). Comcast sucks. I live in the sticks and have a choice of Comcast or dialup. They won't escalate anything unless a good number of people call with the same issue. This was 2 months ago. Last night at 9:00 PM EST was watching a movie and boom no internet the exact same problem, 1meg up/down. Went to the local store, 2 days for a tech... I'm ready for another month of no internet, speaking to non-english speaking or understanding drones at the 1-800 number and running up my cell data plan to tether to my iPhone.. Went to the local office talked to the same lady that had helped me before, nothing at all she could do until a tech came out and check on the problem. If I could only get a number for their dispatch office.......
