Comcast - Expensive yet sucks

When i signed up comcast internet i knew it was more expensive. the trade off was that it was faster and unlimited. unfortunately that turned out to be a lie .i just called comcast service to let them know i noticed a slow down in my service towards the end of the month and asked straight out if they were slowing me down on purpose due to high usage.he said he could not answer that but that it was not unlimited .comcast internet is capped at 300 .whatever that means. so just be aware that you are not getting what they promise. for $66 bucks a month you get capped internet and not lightning fast unlimited as they advertise.you can probably get cheaper internet service . and trust me when they slow you down you can lo longer stream video.it sucks.

Comcast - Over charge

i start to getting internet service from comcast in november and since that time i got three times technicion come over to my place to find out why i was getting slow internet sevice and during this time i was using my cousins wifi who lives up stairs .Finally their technition find out that they are providing me internet 25mpbs despite i m paying for 75Mpbs . After they fix the problem i ask them full amount credit for those three months they refused me .The reason they said , they were giving me 25 Mpbs so they still wants to charged me for that but i was not able to do anything with that slow internet service thats why i was using my cousins wifi who lives up stairs.i dont think so they have right to charge me for the service that i didnt ask and i was not able to use.

Working with Comcast is worse than working with the government.

Hours of time invested. Day after day, one issue then another and it kept going. Six supervisors lied to me and said they would call back and not one did. It went from bad to worse. We have five business lines we are paying a ton of money to Comcast every month on the business level services and they are worse than government employees. I've never experienced anything like this. No returned calls. All kinds of issues. No normal business could ever survive with this pathetic level of service.

Signed up - 66.99 blast internet special - told $3.00 for very basic TV - 50 channels - Total 69.99 not including equipment rental and taxes. When problem with internet for 8 weeks and want a refund for the service since it took that long Now told oh you only pay 38.00 for internet blast and 31.99 for cable Oh and if I cancel the TV - Same internet goes up to 82+ They don't list breakdowns on bill what you are paying for each service. only get verbal and won't send you anything in writing - their word against yours.

Details
1. Why is Comcast paying stations to rebroadcast their channel when they have 2 channels broadcasting the same show on both channels. 2. Why is Comcast charging us for Spanish stations when they have a Spanish service. We don't speak Spanish and shouldn't have to pay for those channels. 3. How many times can we see same TV shows and movies repeated over and over and over for years! The same repeats day after day just so Comcast can make it look like getting a lot of channels for the money. We are not!

Comcast Triple Play Review

Kings of incompetence and masters of bait and switch. I ordered the triple play and twice they put it through as a double play. They still haven't hooked up my land line 3 weeks later and now they want to charge me more $$$$$. I've resisted but now I see FIOS on the horizon.

I was told by a customer service rep from one of xfinity's lobby locations that my promo was about to expire. She suggested i call retention to get another promo before they increase my bill. To my surprise when i received my bill the increase was already added to the bill. I went from paying $168.00 to $210.00.I could not believe the customer service from that department. I spoke with two different people on different days and they act like they were robots. It was like they were reading a sarrivalcript. I told them i was looking for something cheaper and they kept offering me something higher. One told me one thing and the other something else and when questioned about it said that there was some misunderstanding. I was over talked by one rep. She was more eager for me to close my account instead of assisting me. Long story short, i spent over 45 minutes on the phone and was given a promo that i do not like. It was strange that she was able to quote me a price when it was more than i could afford, but was not able to tell me how much my bill would be with the cheaper price. She claim that the reason was because of my location the taxes are different. I have been with Xfinity for over 10 years and had never received this type of service. I'm now in the process of looking for another cable service. I use to defend the company, but from what i have experienced i can no longer do that.

I am in the same process as you. When I told Comcast I was no longer going to have their service they said I had a contract that I would be charged a penalty.

The contract expired in October 2013. LIKE YOU i have been a customer since 2011

The cost has continually increased Dec 2015 my bill was $162 now January 2016 its $170 way too much for an 83 year old

Comcast - Filed Police Report on Beligerent-Confrontational Installer

The appointment was to put in another outlet in my new (to me) home. Window of time was 8-10 AM. No call. He arrived at 9:55. The installer couldn't find the cables or source of service. He got frustrated. He had to go under the house. It is a crawl space. He got dirty and angry. Then he blamed it on the house saying that the garage wasn't built with the house (it was) and things that didn't make sense to me so he got belligerent and confrontational. I went into my house and locked the door. He went around to the other door and entered my house! He said he could come into my house because he was getting his equipment. He expressly did this after I locked him out and said I was calling Comcast. I did, and then I called the police. He got in his van, still yelling and sped out of the (retirement 15 mph maximum speed limit). I am still very distressed about this and appalled that Comcast condones this behavior. They reluctantly agreed to send out another installer tomorrow. I get free TV as part of my condominium dues. I just bought this place (a manufactured home) so am sure there was cable in the living room already and the property manager concurred. I had to go to the local Xfinity store and request another installer. They are coming tomorrow.

I had a Comcast installer for tv and internet and screwed up both times by different installers with bad attitudes. Let me tell you that this was escalating into scary when they acted so annoyed they raised their voices (I got two for one together to install) and tempers getting more annoyed by the minute.

I told them very quietly how much I appreciated them and how hard they work everywhere but that I understood but that my attorney was coming and should be here within 15 minutes to finish up a transaction. They still left annoyed but told me I would have to pay for a return the next time. I told them that would not be a problem.

Scared the *** out of me and you might have guessed there was no attorney coming. Be careful who you let in to your home.....for real!!!!!

Comcast aint SHXT.! Excuse my language, but like everyone else is stating they lock you into these "agreements"which are really contracts and then they don't live up to what they advertise. My bills goes up every month, then when i call they blame it on all these different kinds of fees. Then while watching TV the box always has to be updated and if you don't it will update on its own and it takes FOREVER.!

At least 2 or 3 times a week my cable TV channels go out for hours. internet also. What is up?? I believe the wording is "comcast is experiencing an ISSUE. I dont care about thier issues!! why should I pay for such terrible service.Do C C care that, Im having an ISSUE about service. not to mention just RUDE. customer service. I have had cabe tv all over the count, never had problems. It is very scary that Comcast, a technical company, has so many technical problems. Humm, where are all the teckies,and genious working? Since moving from Florida to Georgia we have been extremely underwhelmed with how different the company is represented and how awful the customer service is. Here in Ga the worst and most absurd policy (that was unheard of when we lived in Fl) is being charged extra for data usage! c'mon Comcast should (and I'm sure do) know in todays day and age we use data for EVERYTHING! I'm a student, I sometimes work from home and we stream a fair amount. I feel it is completely unfair to use that as an upper hand to try to nickle and dime us or have us upgrade to a crazy un-affordable unlimited plan. And you know thats not the worst part, if we would have been aware from the beginning that this was their policy and agreed to it I would *** my tongue, but the worst part is having an uncharming CAE, as well as a supervisor, tell me "sorry no one told you before but we can't do anything because you should have known if you read your comcast email". News Flash: most of us use yahoo or google as our primary email and its unfair to uphold us to this ridiculous fine print policy no one tells you about until it's too late. I even asked if he could at least waive this months additional $20 fee as a courtesy so I could afford to pay my bill, the amount that was quoted to me when I first signed up, and he just said he was sorry but he couldn't do anything about it since its been in place for a few years now. This was coming from the supervisor I spoke to today who said values us as a Comcast customer. When we initially signed up for internet service last summer not one of the many Comcast reps that helped us told us about this policy, which the CAE (William) and Supervisor (Keith) I spoke to today said had been in place for over 2 years now. if that's the case WHY DON'T YOU MENTION THIS TO US WHEN WE ARE SIGNING UP??? I feel like that might be something important to mention so we don't feel robbed and taken advantage of. No one told us they only credit 3 months of overage charges either. When we finally realized that our bill was higher than initially quoted we called and they made it seem like that would be continuously crediting these fees since we were never made aware of the policy when signing up, signed anything or made aware any of the other dozen times we've called about our service/bill. They continued to lie and pass the buck so they could temporarily shut us up. I feel truly cheated and I am sadden to leave Comcast since they were great the many years we had them in Florida, but not only have they become extremely overpriced their customer service is beyond reparable. They only care about getting every penny they can. I know I'll be taking my money to another company that will value me as a customer and can not only empathize that I am a student on a budget, but will not put me in the position to have to sell a kidney to be able to stay connected and afford a service that's basically a necessity now a days.
