Comcast - Voice over

I am sick and tired of Comcast cramming their *** down my throat. Latest is their Voice Over advertisments. Thye come on right in the middle of whatever I am doing. No way to shut them off either. Nice that we can get rid of "pop-up" ads, but now this, and COmcast gives no advice on stopping them. Just more BS from the clowns in NY. Now, I have to write 100 words describing this ***. Give me a break. I said it all in 25 words, or less. So, I guess that I will just ramble on about nothing. Why do I need 100 words???

i have recently set up service with comcast and requested NOT TO DO credit check, and i was told that there will be a deposit of 100$ which i can pay nect week, or pay by 2 days before tech visit. next day i have got alertfrom equifax that hard inquiry was mady by comcast. i tried to check with them why the credit check was made, every tome i call, spending approx 60 min bouncing between sales, billing and finnaly they were asking me how did this happen, with out social. i am sick of calling 1800 number, rather sharing my bad experiance at every review form that i possibly could. comcast is a big company and should not be doing like this if the customer does not want to have credit check done. they really dont know what customers are requesting especially playing games with credit files.

I'll keep this brief, as the details have been left with the FCC. Basically, Comcast offered me a package deal that would cost $120 on my first month including installation, and $60 a month thereafter. I agreed as this sounded reasonable. My next bill was $250. They added extra fees for modem rental, which they never mentioned on the phone, and when I asked the tech why he was giving me a new modem he said it was a "free replacement because mine was old..." in fact this modem was not free, and they hit me with a recurring monthly fee for that as well. They also sent me the wrong cable box and then charged me twice for shipping/handing to send the right one. I never got the HBO they promised. My internet is barely faster. I was told one price, and billed twice what I was quoted.

Comcast in Duluth, Georgia - The worst customer service, over the phone and chat. Still need to test the face-to-face. Ugh

I wrote this for a survey after my failed attempt to get help on the chat, but of course, the survey didn't go through: Xfinity/Comcast has the worst customer service -and service in general- that I have ever had the misfortune to deal with. I decided to chat about my issues and it just got disconnected out of the blue. It happened with the call center too, I made numerous calls explaining my issue and all of them were cut off, so I never had the chance to tell the whole story to anybody and solve it. Only one person seem understanding and empathizing on the phone today, and I appreciate it, but I cannot even get some really BASIC information such as, WHAT IS MY AVERAGE DATA USAGE??? I was given the worst cable box ever, and not even the national channels are HD, but oh, after ONE year of service I find out that one has to ASK for the better cable box! How nice of them! So, they couldn't care less about the customer satisfaction, they take advantage of the ignorance of a first time user to give the worst equipment there is and still get paid for the monthly charges, which by the way, I've never failed to pay on time. I wish the best for the business, but me, I am canceling this DIS-service tomorrow first thing in the morning. It's frustrating, irritating, disrespectful with the customer and in conclusion, a waste of time and money.

Comcast in Houston, Texas - Service call nightmare

First off, my employer pays for my internet access. Seven months ago Comcast came to my house for a service call. This time they decided to bill me for $99 yet never sent me a bill or contacted me in any way. Fast forward 3 months and they terminate my service because this bill has not been paid. I contact our service rep and was informed I needed to clear up the overdue charge before service could be restored. I call another number, eat the now inflated overdue cost, only to be told they still will not turn my service back on. I was told by an account representative that due to how long the bill went without being paid that he would have to basically create a new account based on my old one. I'm told that I have to sign a digital contract to tie the old and new account together. I then recontact our service rep and inform them what has been done per her instructions only to be told that I was told incorrect information. She says she will cancel the other contract and reactivate my old one. Now I am getting double billed and they have turned off my service again. My employer is paying their half, but I'm still getting billed for the contract that was supposedly canceled. When I contacted our service rep about this situation again I am told that she will try to get my service turned back on but I will have to probably pay for the last three months even though this is something that should have been taken care of on their end. Misled, lied to, and double billed. If I could get out of this I would.

Incompetent leadership at Comcast! - Farmed out customer service! It continually appears Comcast takes your money under false pretenses. I have been battling with Comcast to fix the cable line coming into the house since we signed up with Comcast. I have always had intermittent packet loss on the incoming line. My speed frequently drops to "0", yes I said "0". This "confuses" the modem and the only temporary cure is to RELIGIOUSLY call Comcast and ask them to reset the modem and "re-provision" the line back up to full speed. They did send a technician who checked inside and outside the and confirmed the same - i.e. my modem and internal lines are performing without issue and the line from the telephone pole continually incurs packet loss. The technician said he would request a higher level inspection/repair of the local node. I believe he did, but it seems they never found, fixed, or probably attempted to fix the problem. At least, that's how it appears as they never contacted me again regarding the issue as I was instructed they would. The problem is worse now and all they will do is offer to have another technician come to inspect my modem. Another day off work...I DON'T THINK SO. HORRIBLE service yet very patient lower level customer service. I really feel sorry for the foreigners running customer service that are paid to listen to frustrated and angry American customers.

Comcast in Atlanta, Georgia - Lack of transparency in billing

They've done it again!! Who else runs promotions and then stops them and doubles the charges?!?! Why have the promotion at all! And, I get a charge for a "speed increase" when the speed, per the customer service representative, is EXACTLY THE SAME!!! They don't actually improve anything, they just charge more for it. They know the consumer has no option but to use them, and price-gouge like crazy. I WISH I had a decent option besides them!! And, I get a poor connection to Mexico to deal with my situation, someone who really can't help. Comcast never tries to help their consumers, they just keep on giving *** service and charging more and more.

Comcast Gift Card Review from Bellevue, Washington

Comcast Offered me. $250 gift card to switch. They created 2 accounts and double billed me. Then said don't pay full amount it will Be credited back. 3 months later no gift card. Called customer service and they said I don't qualify because first payment was not in time. Tell them it was their mistake and they agree. They then say it's only $100 gift card. I correct them But they say no such $250 card promo exists. I show them printed flyer and Internet full of angry people who have been scammed by their store. They then say that 250 is only for people who got the full triple play package. Again not true but I bought the top of the line package anyway so they couldn't argue. Where's my gift card? You will have to call back during regular customer service hours. I'm unable to get past the computer defaults. Sorry. What a shameful company.
