Every so often I get a pop-up over one of my television channels saying we've detected an interruption. Please check the connections and if the promblem is not resolved contact Comcast at 1-800-Comcast to restore service. We're sorry for the inconvenience.

I checked all my connections, they work fine.

Called comcast and they told me it would be a 45 minute wait. I DO NOT HAVE A HOUR TO WASTE ON THIS!

This is the 3rd time this has happen and I'm growing very impatient. I PAY MY HARD EARNED MONEY FOR THIS TV AND THIS SERVICE, ITS A HUGE DISAPPOINTMENT FROM COMCAST AND I WILL NEVER RECOMMEND THIS TO ANYONE EVER!!!

Monetary Loss: $100.

Location: Waterford Township, Michigan

that message means there IS an interruption in the RF signal for that particular channel (probably other channels as well) - it could be an issue at Comcast's headend or it could be anywhere in the wiring between the headend and your cable box. If it happens randomly or not constantly, it could indicate an intermittent issue with the RF (radio frequency) that is being transmitted to your cable box - something is probably interfering with it like another RF signal.

Often times a loose cable connection or damage to a coax cable can allow interference - after checking your connections, see if any other channels are affected and check other TVs in your home - provide your findings to the rep when you call, they may have other reports from your city/neighborhood about that channel or they may need to send out a tech.

There are always long hold times during the late afternoon/evening hours just so you know. Good Luck.

I have the same problem. I think the new mandatory box that Comcast wants you to install on your TVs (analog and digital) is the reason.

I don't get Fox, KQED, KRON and many others for days while other channels work just fine. I am quite sure they have serious load issues on their end.

As for me, it is time to try AT&T. Pretty soon, all my news and entertainment will come from online sources!

We have 4 Analog TV's, 3 using Comcast's Digital Adapters and one using the set-top box for On-Demand. Everything worked fine until lst night when one of the sets with a Digital Adapter decided to blank out all but the local channels.

I reset the box and when that failed to solve the problem I switched boxes with another one which still recived all our channels, still no luck as the TV still only gets local stations.

Comcast sent a tech out who said, "Well the signals to weak in that room and youll just have to live with it".

Funny it worked before, now it doesn't.
